I'm a little partial to the window myself! all the windows in the house, actually. and I think that the last apartment's kitchen counter has helped me acquire a new appreciation for yellows. Did you notice the yellow lantana through the window? It came all the way from BG (along with the rest of our plants) in the back of Kent's truck : )
Brett and I cleaned out LaVerne's sewing closet this summer...and I tell you what, that sweet woman loved her projects! I picked out a handful of random little things to bring back with us, and the curtains were one of those little things. Something small to help us think of her...
congratulations on your new job and home! So how far are you from Abi and nathaniel? Could you email me your new address? Alyssa is living in Utah and it seems so far away!
thank you!! it all happened so quickly that it still seems a bit unreal (although more so for me than for Brett, probably. He was in his office two days after we got here). I think we're now just 6-7 hours from the Jacksons, which I'm hoping is close enough for Ivan and me to add an extra trip to our annual Syracuse visit.
how long does it take to drive to Alyssa's new place? or is it easier to fly?
It just made me long for summer even more! ^.^ Anyway, I can’t help but notice your window frames seem to have cracks on the side. Better have it inspected then replaced. You wouldn’t want insects to come crawling through those cracks and go after those apples now, would you?
Rachel, I love your new kitchen window and the yellows are lovely. happy cooking in your new kitchen in your new home
