a day with LaVerne

Several weeks ago, I had the most wonderful gift -- I dreamt that I spent a day with my mother-in-law LaVerne. This day was four years ago, and she knew she had Alzheimer's, and I knew she had Alzheimer's, but we were able to talk and laugh together. She asked me questions, and understood my answers, and I asked her questions, and understood her answers.

It was lovely. I told Brett recently that I was looking forward to getting to know LaVerne when Jesus has made all things right -- where she'll be perfect and whole in mind and body.

sometimes, God gives us a preview of what His kingdom looks like...

...and it makes me long all the more to see it fully established.

  2. I'm thankful for this post, Rachel-one of those that you read and sit back to think and pray, to be thankful for what will one day be. And thankful for the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. . .
And the picture tells a story
