our Third Day of Christmas

...was really quite simple and easy, especially since...umm...Brett did it all? Yep, that's right, all I had to do was tell him what I wanted, and since he followed my requests perfectly, I like what he did just as much as what I had originally planned (though maybe I'll try this next year). And the bonus is that not only did it get done (thanks to Brett), but we also used the pinecones I purchased last December. Yes, this was supposed to be last year's project, but what with going to Spain around Thanksgiving, and being pregnant and feeling too tired to do anything, and then actually spending Christmas in Texas, there was only one project I actually got around to (and this was not one of them). In 2011 the pinecones were left in a white bowl on our coffee table, and that was about as festive as I got. So here's to both planning and following through!
